Since 2014 ProsFit has conducted comparative strength evaluation of its sockets, copolymer sockets, and definitive laminated sockets.
This confirmed that Additive manufacturing (AM) is viable for socket manufacturing, meeting “Industry benchmarks” for structural performance including ISO 10328 sustaining 3’000'000 cycles.

In early 2015 a clinical investigation was completed in a UK NHS hospital. The results from a double-blind study with 11 patients showed that ProsFit’s sockets were shown to be a comfortable, safe and effective alternative with significant advantages in clinician time and statistical advantages in walking speeds. Such clinical research has become the norm for ProsFit.
